Welcome to VRTX for the first time
If you're new to VRTX, here are three products we usually recommend to get you started.
Understanding Resistance
VRTX bands don’t use “weight” — the resistance comes from tension.
VRTX measures strength by “resistance when stretched to twice its original length.”
Example: MESH “No.1 X-Light” (14–23 kg)
- 14 kg → resistance at 2× length
- 23 kg → resistance at 3× length
More Ways to Use Your Band
It’s not just for strength training or stretching.
Great for yoga, mobility work, posture support, and everyday body care.
Note:
For pull-up assistance, this band is used to support body weight, not for muscle resistance training.
For this purpose, stronger bands (#4 / #5) are recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions & Training Tips
Here you’ll find common questions and coaching advice we’ve received about training for elementary and junior high school students.
My child is in 9th grade and wants to use the band mainly for stretching. Which strength level should we choose?
For upper-body stretching like in the video below, we recommend a lighter band (Level 00 or Level 0).
For lower-body stretching like in the video below, we recommend a stronger band (Level 1 or Level 2).
If the user has a heavier body weight, a stronger band (Level 3 or higher) may also be suitable.
If you are purchasing just one band to start, Level 1 is a safe middle-ground choice.
(The trainer in the video is also using a Level 1 band.)
My daughter is in 5th grade and wants to improve her karate punching speed. Which size should she use?
We have received training examples from karate athletes.
Please refer to the link below; they used Level 00 and Level 0 bands.
